Schools Out!

Chad finished his finals while I was at work, so he sent me the email below:

To: Kandace Hyland
From: Chad Hyland
Subject: DONE!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!
SCHOOLS OUT FOREVER!
SCHOOLS BEEN BLOWN TO PIECES!

Can you tell he was excited to be done? He's now three classes away from graduating and we are so excited! He has an amazing internship with Protiviti this summer, then classes this Fall and he'll graduate in December. Yay!!!

Speaking of graduating, it's the best to be a BYU graduate! Although it was slightly anti-climatic because I graduated in December, it was still fun to attend the official graduation ceremony and have so many people there to support me.

Kandace, Chad, Caroline, Mark, and Suzanne

Dad (Karl), Kandace, Chad, and Mom (Nancy)

Suzanne said it best when she said, "Kandace's parents deserve a big payback for helping her through BYU. Chad and Kandace will graduate debt free!!!! What a great start." It's so true! I owe them so much, but as my mom always says, "The best payback is a child doing what's right." I plan to do exactly that. I love you mom and dad! And, Mark and Suz!

Now that finals are over and graduation is done, it's finally time to honeymoon with my handsome husband. Cancun here we come!

Temple Video

Our Temple Video from our wedding has been posted to YouTube. Our amazing videographer, Chris McClain, did an amazing job capturing the joy of that day. We get to spend eternity together! What is more joyous then that?

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us on that day! We are so grateful for your love and support. Pictures will be coming soon. Promise. After the honeymoon...

3 Weeks and LOVING it!

We've officially been married for 3 weeks today and we absolutely love it! Married life is the greatest thing. Being engaged was good, but after a while we just wanted to move on with our life together. We are happy to say that we have and it is great! So, we started a blog to share our life adventures with you.

One of our favorite things to do together is cook dinner. You'll be impressed by some of the meals we made, so I took pictures. Yum!

Barbeque Chicken, Grilled Veggies, Pasta Salad, Caesar Salad

Marinated Chicken and Steak, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Caesar Salad

Crusted Chicken, Grilled Red Potatoes, Garlic Bread, Caesar Salad

Chad has been awesome barbecuing on his new grill! Great investment on my part! And, can you tell we love Caesar Salad?

Oh, another exciting thing is that we planted a "garden" on our porch. It may be small, but it is fun for us. We planted flowers and stuff to make salsa. I'm already anxious to have the tomatoes and herbs ready to use. Maybe this garden will teach me patience...

We've been trying to develop good habits together and we've done well so far. We read scriptures and pray together every day. I can honestly say that it has been one of my favorite things over the past 3 weeks. Truly, any relationship is better when it involves the Lord.

The next things ahead for Chad and I are finals (Chad), 'official' graduation (Kandace), and finally going on our honeymoon! Stay tuned.
